Calibration of radiation protection and medical dosimeters

The laboratory has reference beams for calibrating dosimeters. The detailed scope 2-52 of the LNHB contains all the characteristics of the fields covered and the catalogue containing all the information is shown at the bottom of the page.

The possibilities of the LNHB in terms of beam quality, range and calibration quantities are summarized in the table below:

⁽¹⁾ Calibrations at lower flow rates are possible outside the COFRAC perimeter. Calibrations with ⁶⁰Co at higher flow rates will be possible after the commissioning of a new irradiator.
⁽²⁾ Calibrations in PDR are performed with a low activity HDR source (< 50 GBq)
⁽³⁾ Depending on the characteristics of the ionization chamber
